Bio
Jazz/Blues Vocalist
Singer/Songwriter, Shannon Kaeding, is a Northern Wisconsin native from the small, charming town of Fall Creek. Shannon began singing at St. James Trinity Lutheran Church the early age of five, and then became classically trained at 12 by the legendary Greg & Sue Harpkee, also of Fall Creek. She fell in love with Jazz at the age of 16 while at Shell Lake Show Choir Camp of WI.
Shannon took her passion and went on to study Opera and Jazz at The Rudi E. Scheidt College of Music at The University of Memphis, and then studied Recording Industry at Middle Tennessee State University. While there, she received her Bachelor of Science degree and performed as a recording artist for the student run record label, MTSU Records.
Prior to graduating, Shannon gained the attention of SESAC composer/producer, Dave Catalano, of Long Island, NY. After graduating, she moved to New York in 2009 to begin her career in Music Publishing as Client Account Manager/Studio Recording Musician, where she placed music in numerous popular TV shows.
Shannon performed lead vocals for “Out in the Street” which was featured on the TBS TV series “Glory Daze,” and was also featured on other custom recordings for Sony Pictures, Warner Brothers and Viacom. Her most recent placement, “Boisson De Mon Sang,” was in the Netflix series “Travelers.” The song created quite a buzz when fans went flocking to Netflix to try and find out who the singer was behind the smooth, yet mysterious, song!
Shannon went on to work as an Account Executive with Omnimusic, and then shifted gears from making music deals to performing again at the Historic Hotel Bethlehem as a Lounge Singer for Jazz nights and Musical Brunches.
Upon returning to Wisconsin, Shannon began performing with the Chippewa Valley Jazz Orchestra. In addition, she has been a featured performer for “The Gatsby Gala” at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and Eau Claire Jazz Festival for Eau Claire Jazz Inc. She recently performed at the Prex Claires Celebration in July 2017 on the eve of the Eaux Claires Festival. Shannon is currently working on a Jazz/Blues album and continues to collaborate with artists of all genres, both locally & abroad, but with the fondest love for Jazz!
